TT Apollos: Thermaltake's New, In-House Pro-Gaming Team

Someone at Thermaltake described the new office as the 'Google of Taipei,' and while I can see that it has a unique office design, I don't think that a couple of bubble chairs and a beautiful view really quite compares to Google's famous Googleplex HQ. Also, I got the feeling I was being watched as I toured the floors.

In addition to its established core brand and Luxa² boutique, the company has also invested heavily in pro-gaming with TT eSports. It's most recent addition is the TT Apollos: its very own, in-house pro-gaming team.

The team is not only fully employed by Thermaltake to come to work and play games everyday, but the gamers also do this in their own custom designed room. As you're probably aware, pro-gaming is far more commercialised in Asia than Europe, and I was told that this team is featured on TV in Taiwan at least a few times a week. I did notice that one gamer had interestingly removed the keys from his numeric keypad, but I unfortunately didn't ask whether his immaculately manicured nails were also a perquisite of becoming an Apollo.

The team's monitor outputs are also mirrored on the wall, so we could see how everyone was doing at a glance. This is probably great for their boss, although it does also put and end to any messing around in the office.
Meanwhile, the next floor up features more offices, as well as a small block separated for the Thermaltake Design Center. Unfortunately, I couldn't get quite too close to this block, though, as Thermaltake wanted to keep all of its upcoming secrets under wraps.
